Australia brought home four international trophies for wine at the recent International Wine Challenge from over 9000 entries in a competition heralded as the largest blind tasting event in the world.

However, France regained the crown for the most trophies which Australia had narrowly snatched from it last year whilst Portugal has made it to third place in the trophy stakes for a third year running.

Of the 267 wines awarded gold medals at the event, 90 wines were elevated from gold medal to trophy status following a further rigorous blind tasting.
