Seventy years ago, Hilton Mervyn Seppelt co-founded the very first Barossa Vintage Festival. Hilton, an inaugurated Baron of the Barossa, was also credited with establishing Seppeltsfield’s remarkable Sherry collection, having secretly obtained flor yeast culture from a Spanish Bodega in the 1930s.
To honour Hilton and to celebrate opening of the 2017 Barossa Vintage Festival, Seppeltsfield invite you to a night of Spanish-style cuisine, as part of their unearthed@seppeltsfield pop-up restaurant series.
Held in the Seppeltsfield 1882 Vinegar Haus, expect Spanish tapas-style delights by Executive Chef Owen Andrews, backed by a rock-star Seppeltsfield drinks list. A wine lounge featuring Sherry-spiked contemporary cocktails and live music will be sure to kick of your Barossa Vintage Festival celebrations in style.
On offer on the night will be an incredible opportunity to indulge in a tasting of 1947 Seppeltsfield Para Vintage Tawny, conceived the same year as the inaugural Barossa Vintage Festival.
