Taste Port Douglas presented by the Sheraton Grand Mirage delivers all the talent of a big city food festival to the palm-lined paradise of Port Douglas, in a three day program in August, timed to capture the interstate market.

Now in its fourth year, festival regulars Colin Fassnidge, Ian Curley and Massimo Mele return for the event alongside another 18 talented chefs and presenters from across the country. New recruits include Monty Koludrovic from iconic Icebergs in Sydney and Nelly Robinson from Restaurant Nel, NSW.

The official program kicks off on Friday August 11th with chefs presenting wine dinners in the annual sell out ‘Big Taste’ series which is held in restaurants from Cairns to Port Douglas. This is followed by two days of fun at ‘Festival Village’, the epicentre of the weekend. Guests to the village enjoy live demos by their favourite chefs, master classes, pop up food stalls, produce and live music.

With its relaxed vibe, chefs mingle with guests and create an informal village atmosphere to showcase your wines to a mix of interstate and Queensland food and wine lovers – and to the chefs and media.

If you want to be seen by these consumers and restaurateurs, you should be involved – the festival is not huge so you won’t get swamped, and there’s plenty of opportunity to chat to chefs, wine and food lovers and the media about your wines, wine and food matching, and more. This audience is hungry for wine information and are eager to taste new wines!

Importantly, your wines will also be showcased at the series of ‘Big Taste’ dinners with the opportunity to speak. You will also be featured on, Australia’s leading online wine and food travel guide.

COST: Only $195 + GST for the whole weekend, plus your setup costs, wine and travel (see attached information on Alcohol Stalls).

WHEN: Arrive Port Douglas Thursday 10th August, wines showcased at Big Taste Dinners Friday 11th, tastings at Festival Village Sat-Sun 12-13th August 2017 (see attached 2017 Stallholder Information Pack).
