This refreshing recipe for Clerico from Argentinian Street Food is perfect for a pre lunch or party drink.

Serve as an aperitif

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Resting time: 30 minutes

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 3 figs
  • 1 peach
  • 1 banana
  • 750 ml (26 fl oz/1 bottle) Torrontés white wine (or substitute white wine of your choice)
  • ice cubes
  • 1 orange
  • 1 red apple
  • 20 red grapes
  • 2 tablespoons caster (superfine) sugar

Method:

  1. Slice the figs, peach, banana, orange and apple into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Put them in a jug with the grapes, sugar and half of the wine
  3. Gently press the juice out of the fruit with a pestle.
  4. Let it macerate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Add the ice and the remaining wine. Serve as an aperitif
