This book is not about point scoring, it’s about 'food unlocking wine', for those who are eaters first, drinkers second.

Chris takes his sommelier skill set and translates it into a comprehensive guide that you can apply to any lifestyle, taste and budget.

“This is different from other wine books; a straight-from- the-sommelier’s-mouth take on how to create a great experience around wine, both in the restaurant and at home” – Terry Durack

This Is Not a Wine Guide addresses how the Australian drinking culture is changing to a wine culture and how the old rules of judgement (aroma and flavour) have been replaced by structure and texture.

It will also teach you how wine gets its colour, why some wines age better than others and why alcohol percentages can’t be trusted, as well as numerous other helpful notes to bring to the table.

Chris also explains the merits of having a rolling collection of ready-to-drink wine on hand for any occasion or meal, without needing a cellar.
