About the author

Stefano Manfredi is one of Australia’s leading exponents of modern Italian cuisine, translating the flavours and recipes of his Lombardy childhood and family.

For more than three decades, Stefano has owned and operated restaurants in Sydney, most notably the award-winning Restaurant Manfredi and bel mondo and, more recently, Pizzaperta Manfredi.

He has written on food and cooking since 1988, published five books, presented many master classes and made numerous television appearances both in Australia and overseas.
