Smudge Publishing has released its first international culinary food guide, Flavours of Bali. The beautifully presented book showcases the diverse dining scene in Bali, from fine dining at remarkable restaurants to sunset cocktails at beachside bars.

The latest publication in the award-winning Flavours of series, Flavours of Bali delves into the archipelago’s culinary scene to give locals and visitors an in-depth insight into just what the collection of islands has to offer.

Smudge’s Publisher, Jonette George says after covering most of Australia, Bali was a natural next step: “Bali’s thriving food scene has never been so exciting. Whether you’re after seafood in Seminyak or coffee in Canggu, Flavours of Bali has the ultimate guide on where to eat, drink and stay so that every day is a new culinary adventure.”

As one of the leading culinary destinations in the Asia Pacific region, the Indonesian island is home to a number of extraordinary chefs, including Australia’s own Frank Camorra. You’ll find everything you need to know about his first international outpost of Movida, located at the gorgeous boutique Katamama Hotel, on page 162.

Renowned chef Will Meyrick’s venues are all featured in the book, including Sarong, Mama San, Hujan Locale and Tiger Palm. Each venue is beautifully represented, both visually and editorially, giving readers a fantastic idea of just what to expect. Best of all, the holiday continues at home, as you’ll be able to re-create a dish from your favourite venues with their signature recipes.

Flavours of Bali doesn’t just cover restaurants. With a feature on Sisterfields, considered by many as the best coffee in Bali, as well as a comprehensive selection of bars, including Potato Head Beach Club, your drinking diary is covered from sunrise to sundown.

Now that your culinary itinerary is covered, you just need somewhere to stay. Bali is full of amazing accommodation, stunningly presented in the book. Readers will get an understanding of beautiful hotels and resorts including the breathtaking Trans Resort Hotel andthe W Resort and Spa, both in Seminyak,as well as the tranquil Viceroy Bali in Ubud.

“The vibrant colours and diverse landscapes of Bali makes this book our most eye-catching yet. It’s impossible not to be blown away by the bright hues of smoothie bowls, and the greenery of Ubud’s mountainous ranges,” said Jonette.

With stunning visuals, signature recipes and profiles of the island’s top chefs, Flavours of Bali offers a comprehensive guide to all the Bali dining scene has to offer.
