This lovely book is a treasure trove of all those recipes from kitchens around the country that have survived being tested and tested and tested again, many from the stained-from-use community cookbooks we love to go back to. Along with "recipes for saving souls", recipes for the young/old" and classics like pavlova and gingerbread, there are snippets of history, vintage photos and stories which add to the delight this book brings any foodie who appreciates history.
