Got a drinks cabinet with all sorts of alcohol, some of which you don't generally drink but don't want to waste? This is the book for you!

Want to experiment with adding some extra 'wow' flavours to your dishes but not sure how to? This book is for you!

The subtitle of Cork and Knife is 'build complex flavors with bourbon, wine, beer and more'  which sounds a little technical but this book is far from that. The recipes are easy and many are familiar – it's just adding a dash of that or splash of this that does the trick!

Imagine you're cooking up a chilli con carne and tired of the same old flavours but your eyes glaze over when you look into the herb/sauce cupboard for inspiration. Why not try Brown Ale Chilli Con Carne?

The boutique ice-cream varieties available now are delicious but can work out expensive if you're serving up for a dinner party so try home-made Chocolate-Stout Ice-Cream. Got 1/4 cup of gin laying around? Create a Blueberry-Gin Ice Cream.

Think about a shiny Peach Bourbon Glaze on your pork tenderloin or how authentic Margarita Chicken Tacos will taste. Yum!

When Emily and Matt Clifton (founders of Nerds with Knives) realised that many of their favourite recipes seemed to have one thing in common –  alcohol – they looked into it further and found it was all about adding extra layers of flavour, and creating a deeper, more complex dish.

From white wine to sake, spiced rum to gin and all in between, the recipes cover all different styles of alcohol and all the courses of a menu.

We have two copies of this book to be won so enter now and you could be dishing up something spectacularly flavoursome this spring!
